  MCP795WXX/BXX RTCC器件具有毫秒報警功能,以及支持極快速數據存取的10 MHz SPI接口,從而能夠實現較長的MCU休眠和省電模式,電池耗電量更少。其他低功耗功能還包括僅消耗RTCC器件最小電流的兩個事件檢測輸入,但當按下開關或發生篡改系統事件時即可喚醒MCU。此外,這些器件作為一個標準產品還包括三種非易失性存儲器:EEPROM、SRAM和一個惟一的ID(訂購時可指定空白或預編程MAC地址),可進一步減少元件數量和降低與序列化編程相關的成本。利用自動電池切換功能提供備用電源,電源故障時間戳可記錄任何電源故障的發生時間和持續時長;而且這些器件具有廣泛的數字微調范圍,可補償晶振頻率因溫度的漂移,從而能夠在廣泛的溫度范圍內實現精確計時。在使用第二個低頻晶振的設計中,引導時鐘選項可在上電時提供32 kHz的時鐘頻率,無需使用第二個晶振。

  MCP795XX SPI RTCC PICtail™ Plus子板(部件編號AC164147)將于2012年2月開始供貨,屆時可以通過microchipDIRECT(http://www.microchip.com/get/FU5C)訂購。該板可以與Microchip的Explorer 16開發板(部件編號DM240001)和PIC18 Explorer板(部件編號DM183032)配合使用,能夠幫助設計人員在其應用中演示MCP795WXX/BXX RTCC器件。
